Emergent Learning Centers Lanai brings our care to one of Hawai'i's most special island communities through home-based and school-based services, meeting keiki and their families where daily life on Lanai actually unfolds. Sessions take place in family homes and in classrooms, delivered in close partnership with the Hawai'i Department of Education, so the skills a child builds with us are reinforced across the two places they spend the most time. On an island where everyone knows everyone, we work the way the community does: personally, respectfully, and side by side with the families, teachers, and school staff who already know each child best.

Lanai families are also part of our wider Hawai'i team, sharing clinicians, expertise, and specialized programming with our Waikiki center, so a small island never means small resources. And as with all of our Hawai'i services, we celebrate and honor local Hawaiian culture in the way we teach, weaving family values, place, and community practices into treatment rather than importing a one-size-fits-all model from the mainland. Care here is individualized, evidence-based, and delivered by the same expert clinicians behind every Emergent location, with an emphasis on the outdoors, mindfulness, and the social and emotional skills that help children thrive at home, at school, and in the community they belong to.
