Emergent Learning Centers serves the Island of Hawai'i, often called the Big Island, through home-based and school-based services that reach families across the largest and most geographically diverse island in the state. From the rainforests of the Hilo side to the sunny Kona coast, from upcountry ranch towns to communities in the shadow of Mauna Kea and Kīlauea, our clinicians travel to where the island's families live and learn. Sessions take place in homes and in classrooms, delivered in close partnership with the Hawai'i Department of Education, so the skills a child builds with us are reinforced across the places they spend the most time.

Big Island families are supported by our full Hawai'i team, anchored at our main hub on O'ahu at the Waikiki center, sharing clinicians, expertise, and specialized programming across the islands so that distance from Honolulu never means distance from the best care. And as with every one of our Hawai'i services, we celebrate and honor local Hawaiian culture in the way we teach, weaving family values, place, and community practices into treatment rather than importing a mainland template. Care here is individualized, evidence-based, and delivered by the same expert clinicians behind every Emergent location, with an emphasis on outdoor learning, mindfulness, and the social and emotional skills that help children thrive at home, at school, and in the communities they call home.
